Committed Search

A properly resourced search for the commercial hires that matter

Committed Search is our core recruitment service for individual sales, marketing, clinical and specialist commercial vacancies across medtech and healthtech.

You commit to working with Advance on the vacancy, and we commit the time, expertise and resources needed to properly search the relevant candidate market.

Rather than relying primarily on advertising or waiting for available candidates to apply, we proactively identify, approach and assess the people best equipped to succeed in your role.

How Committed Search works

01

Define the brief

A detailed intake meeting gets beneath the surface of your business, culture, commercial objectives and team, as well as what success in the role needs to look like. This establishes a clear candidate profile, search strategy and project timeline, while uncovering the employee value proposition and the reasons the right candidate should want to join your organisation.

02

Position the opportunity

Using the insight gathered during the intake meeting, we develop a compelling candidate proposition, refine the job description and create a tailored information pack. This enables us to present the role credibly, helping prospective candidates understand the opportunity, the organisation and what they could gain by joining.

03

Search the talent pool

The relevant candidate market is mapped alongside a search of our specialist database and targeted advertising where appropriate. Direct outreach extends the search to experienced professionals who are not actively looking but may be open to the right opportunity.

04

Assess and shortlist

Candidates are assessed against the role through structured interviews and psychometric profiling. In a collaborative shortlisting meeting, we review the strongest candidates, share our findings and agree who should progress to interview. Each shortlisted candidate is supported by a detailed submission document.

05

Secure the appointment

Interviews are coordinated carefully, structured feedback is gathered from both sides and candidate engagement is maintained throughout. Once you have identified your preferred candidate, you receive support with the offer and salary negotiations.

06

Support the transition

Contact continues throughout the candidate’s notice period to maintain engagement and address any concerns before they join. Post-placement follow-ups support a successful onboarding experience and help ensure that both you and your new employee have the strongest possible start.

Why work with one committed recruitment partner?

Giving the vacancy to several agencies may create more activity, but it does not necessarily result in a more thorough search.

When a recruiter has no certainty that their work will lead to an appointment, there is a commercial limit to the time and resources they can invest. This results in several agencies searching the same readily available candidate pool which can leaad to multiple submissions of the same candidates.

Committed Search allows us to resource the assignment properly and explore the wider relevant market. It also gives you:

  • One consistent message in the candidate market
  • One accountable recruitment partner
  • Greater visibility throughout the search
  • A superior candidate experience
  • Candidates who are more invested in your opportunity
  • More meaningful market feedback
  • A properly assessed shortlist rather than a volume of CVs

What you receive

The purpose of Committed Search is to give you a focused shortlist of credible, properly assessed candidates, rather than the largest possible number of CVs.

You receive:

  • A shortlist of three to five candidates worth interviewing
  • Detailed assessment and context for each candidate
  • Access to active and passive talent
  • Regular visibility into the progress of the search
  • Honest feedback on salary, candidate availability and market response
  • Support throughout interviews, offer management and onboarding

Investment

The search begins with an inital non-refundable engagement fee. This forms part of the overall recruitment fee and is deducted from the final balance.

The remaining balance becomes payable when the successful candidate accepts your offer and signs their contract.
